About Greg Sarangoulis

greg sarangoulisGregory Sarangoulis is the founder and owner of GMI First, Inc., which offers electrical, plumbing, and mechanical contractor services. Headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, GMI First now claims more than twenty years of industry experience and generates millions of dollars in annual sales. Significant projects have included sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware.

A Pennsylvania native, Greg Sarangoulis also owns several student housing and market rate apartment facilities throughout his state. These include the Advantage Point Student Apartment bordering the Kutztown University Campus, Lions Gate Luxury Apartments in Bloomsburg, 525 Student Apartments in Reading, and Apollo Point Luxury Apartments in Berks County.

Greg has always been proud to call Pennsylvania home. The changing seasons keep the company on its feet in terms of project scheduling, but if you do the right things and handle your business with honesty, transparency, diligence, and respect, your customers will always be there to support you. As a result, one of the great perks of success is that it has afforded Greg the opportunity to pass it forward.

In fact, one of the few challenges intrinsic to his leadership positions is that Greg can have difficulty contributing more than just money to worthy causes – he believes strongly in the value of working for a better tomorrow with more than just a check. However, Greg does ensure his company and properties support community well-being and service by donating thousands of dollars every year to a growing portfolio of causes. He has supported Kutztown on a personal level, helping to fund facilities like their public library. He even provided money to replace the beloved town sign after it was stolen.

GMI First is a particularly ardent supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Reading and Berks County. Relay For Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Cancer Society, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association are just a small sampling of the various places his company has worked to create a positive impact in the world around it.

Greg Sarangoulis is similarly passionate about emboldening his employees to work as a team. Encouraging his staff to communicate and hold each other accountable has made for a better experience on the job and for a better company at large. He believes there are metrics beyond pure profit that matter – like enabling his team members to succeed in their family lives and as part of the community. Greg personally measures much of his own success by his ability to spend time with his family every day, for which he is exceedingly grateful.
